Designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen in 1945, the Portex chairs were produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark. Their rational construction includes a stackable format suited to everyday use. Each chair measures 42 cm wide by 42 cm deep and 83 cm high, with a 45 cm seat height. The set has a deep patina and visible wear; two chairs have veneer damage on the backrest, and one has a small flake-off on the seat.
